Martina Manyà Vintró (Barcelona, 1983).

Visual artist.

I am interested in color as an expressive medium, and as a consequence also in form and matter, all of them inseparable elements. My work often explores the materiality of the artistic work, the materials used, their origin, their future, their qualities and possibilities.

My practice has a large component of experimentation and research, where the processual and experiential part is very important. Often the manual and artisan work such as dyeing, sewing, felting, printing or weaving are backbone elements of the practice, which arises from the experience of doing, in an intuitive flow between head-hands-heart, not necessarily in this order.
